Cruise lines outline fleet additions through 2036

Disney Cruise Line is growing from four ships to twelve, while Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has committed to eight new vessels across three brands.

Disney Cruise Line is expanding its fleet from four ships to twelve.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has committed to eight new vessels across Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. The ships represent nearly 25,000 additional berths, with deliveries scheduled from 2026 through 2036.

After four Prima Plus-class ships are delivered between 2025 and 2028, Norwegian Cruise Line is scheduled to receive four vessels of roughly 200,000 gross tons each. The ships will carry nearly 5,000 guests apiece and are due in 2030, 2032, 2034 and 2036.

Oceania Cruises is adding two 86,000-ton ships, each carrying 1,450 guests, in 2027 and 2029. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is adding two 77,000-ton vessels for 850 guests each in 2026 and 2029.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings is also building a multi-ship pier at Great Stirrup Cay, its private island in the Bahamas. Separately, a report says the next Icon Class vessel is due in 2028. The keel for Oasis-Class 7 has been laid at Chantiers de l’Atlantique.
