Cruise buffet report highlights praised venues and passenger concerns
Oceania, Viking and Celebrity dining venues earned praise, while buffets on three other ships drew criticism over food, selection and crowding.
A 2026 cruise buffet report identified Oceania Cruises’ Terrace Cafe, Viking’s World Cafe and Celebrity Cruises’ Oceanview Cafe as notable standouts. The report attributed the praise for all three venues to Cruise Critic.
The same report contrasted those restaurants with concerns involving MSC Meraviglia’s Marketplace Buffet, Norwegian Epic’s Garden Cafe and Carnival Sunrise’s Lido Marketplace.
According to feedback cited in the report, passengers aboard MSC Meraviglia in May 2026 encountered crowded lines and found the food disappointing. Feedback concerning Norwegian Epic in February 2026 pointed to a limited salad-bar selection and inconsistent food preparation.
Carnival Sunrise’s Lido Marketplace was also described in the report as experiencing frequent crowding. The cited feedback focused on different issues across the three ships, ranging from congestion and food quality to variety and consistency.
