Crowds watch Disney Dream sail away from Liverpool
Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream left the city after a brief mid-river departure event featuring music and fireworks.

Crowds gathered at Liverpool’s Pier Head on Wednesday evening to watch Disney Dream depart from the city’s Cruise Port. Hundreds of people attended the waterfront sail-away involving the Disney Cruise Line vessel.
The ship left the port at six forty-five in the evening, then travelled a short distance before holding its position in the middle of the river. It stopped directly in front of the Pier Head for a brief sail-away moment witnessed by those gathered nearby.
Disney music accompanied the departure event, which also included a short fireworks display. At seven in the evening, Disney Dream sailed from Liverpool as fireworks marked the vessel’s departure from the city.
