CPSO says Royal Caribbean plans 50% investment in Sandals resort business
The proposed transaction is valued at about US$3 billion and is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary approvals.

The CARICOM Private Sector Organization said Royal Caribbean Group plans to acquire a 50% interest in Sandals Resorts’ all-inclusive resort enterprise. According to the regional private-sector body, the investment is valued at approximately US$3 billion and implies an overall valuation of about US$6 billion for Sandals.
The CPSO said the transaction is expected to close in early 2027, subject to customary approvals. It anticipates that the companies’ combined reach will support additional visitor arrivals, longer stays, expanded airlift, stronger cruise connectivity and greater demand across several CARICOM destinations.
Destinations identified by the organization include Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Lucia, The Bahamas, Barbados, Grenada, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. The CPSO also said the partnership could strengthen connections between tourism and regional agriculture, agro-processing, manufacturing and services, allowing more benefits from increased visitor demand to remain within the Caribbean community.
