Compagnie Française de Croisières becomes Ambassador Croisières
The rebranded French operation will retain its French-speaking cruise product aboard Renaissance while integrating with Ambassador Cruise Line.

Compagnie Française de Croisières officially changed its name to Ambassador Croisières on September 17 as part of its continuing integration into UK-based Ambassador Cruise Line. The company said it intends to preserve the operation’s French identity while drawing on Ambassador’s support for further development.
The 1,100-passenger Renaissance will continue to offer a primarily French-speaking onboard environment. Planned deployment includes Mediterranean cruises from Marseille and Northern European itineraries from Dunkirk, which is scheduled to serve as a homeport for the ship from spring 2026. Winter Caribbean sailings introduced in 2025 will also remain available, with embarkation at Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe.
President Mayelisse Pierrot-Guibourt said the French season achieved 92% occupancy. Bookings for 2027 were also reported to be further ahead than at the equivalent point a year earlier.
Renaissance’s 2027 schedule is due to begin with Mediterranean service in April, including new itineraries to the Canary Islands and southern Italy with a Bari call. Northern European cruises are planned from July, including a longer Baltic voyage, followed by drydock and another Caribbean season.
The company expects to open 2028 reservations soon. Proposed highlights include a 14-night cruise departing May 28 with two days in Alexandria, plus sailings around Ireland and Britain and a six-day itinerary covering southern Norway and northern Denmark.
