Century Cruises plans second European river ship for 2027
Century Diamond is scheduled to begin Rhine-focused sailings in August 2027 as part of a planned four-ship European fleet.
Century Cruises plans to introduce Century Diamond as the second vessel in its European river cruise fleet, with service scheduled to start in August 2027. The 174-guest ship is also expected to be the second of four vessels the company intends to deploy on European rivers.
The Rhine River will be Century Diamond’s primary operating region. Its program will focus on eight-day voyages between Basel and Amsterdam, while selected departures are planned to venture beyond the traditional Rhine itinerary and explore other waterways in the region.
According to Century Cruises, Century Diamond will be built using approximately 60% recycled steel and will incorporate hybrid propulsion technology.
