Celebrity River Cruises Sets June 2027 Rhine Debut for Celebrity Compass
The first of 20 planned ships will feature 86 cabins, six dining options and locally led excursions included in the cruise fare.
Celebrity River Cruises plans to enter the river cruise market in June 2027, when Celebrity Compass is scheduled to begin sailing on the Rhine. The company describes the vessel as the first of 20 ships being constructed.
Celebrity Compass is being built with 86 cabins across five categories. The planned accommodation includes a combined 27 Balcony Suites and Vista Balcony Suites, each with a private veranda for two, and 31 Infinite Balcony rooms with wall-to-wall windows that can be lowered. Four Skylight Infinite Balcony suites are set to offer retractable ceiling windows and butler service. River View suites on the lower deck will have windows.
Guests are expected to have six dining choices for breakfast, lunch and dinner, alongside open-air bars and lounges. Celebrity venues planned for the ship include Cafe al Bacio, the Martini Bar and Sunset Bar. The onboard service model will provide all-day dining without assigned seating times, plus 24-hour room service.
The cruise fare will also include Storyteller Series excursions. According to Celebrity’s plans, these destination tours will be led by local residents and focus on lesser-known stories connected with the places visited.
