Celebrity Reflection passenger faces federal charges after Port Everglades search
A federal complaint alleges customs officers discovered more than 90 files containing child sexual abuse material on two electronic devices.

A Philadelphia man who traveled aboard Celebrity Reflection is facing two federal criminal charges after a search by U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents at Port Everglades, according to a federal criminal complaint.
The complaint states that customs officers interviewed 41-year-old John Mario Galvin and searched his mobile phone and tablet after he disembarked from the ship. Agents allegedly found more than 90 photos and videos depicting the sexual abuse of children, including infants and toddlers.
CBP said it had received nine CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children concerning child sexual abuse material associated with Galvin’s telephone number.
Court records state that Galvin declined to speak with law enforcement before his arrest. The two federal charges relate to the alleged possession and transportation of child sexual abuse material. The allegations remain claims presented in the criminal complaint.
