CDC reports passing sanitation scores for 10 cruise ships
August 2026 inspections covered vessels from five cruise lines, with scores ranging from 94 to 100.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has published Vessel Sanitation Program reports for 10 cruise ships inspected during August 2026. The vessels represented Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Line, Holland America Line and Windstar Cruises.
Under the CDC program’s 100-point scale, ships need a score of at least 86 to pass. All 10 vessels exceeded that threshold, recording an average score of 97. The lowest result among the group was 94.
Celebrity Reflection earned the month’s listed top score of 100 following its Aug. 22 inspection. Carnival Sunshine received 99 on Aug. 16, while Symphony of the Seas also scored 99 after an Aug. 29 inspection.
Harmony of the Seas recorded 98 on Aug. 25. Vision of the Seas received 97 following its Aug. 15 inspection.
