Carnival Venezia starts Port Canaveral winter season after funnel repaint
The ship now carries Carnival colors, while Juneau ended its 2026 cruise season with 1,733,016 passengers.

Carnival Venezia has begun its 2026–27 winter season from Port Canaveral after its straight funnel was repainted in Carnival Cruise Line’s red, white and blue colors. The yellow was removed following the ship’s repositioning from New York. Its funnel retained the original straight shape instead of receiving the whale-tail design common across Carnival’s fleet.
The ship departed Port Canaveral on October 10 for an eight-night Southern Caribbean cruise visiting Bonaire, Aruba and Celebration Key, Carnival’s private destination in the Bahamas.
The vessel launched as Costa Venezia in 2019 and transferred to Carnival Cruise Line in 2023. Carnival has not announced plans to discontinue the Fun Italian Style concept and continues to advertise the experience, including Italian-inspired dining at Marco Polo and La Strada Grill.
Sister ship Carnival Firenze joined Carnival’s fleet in 2024 after being acquired from Costa. It still has a yellow funnel, and Carnival has not confirmed whether it will receive the same repaint as Carnival Venezia.
Separately, Juneau’s 2026 cruise season ended after Norwegian Encore departed. Juneau visitor industry director Alix Pierce said the season finished with 1,733,016 passengers. Pierce said ships sailed at 104% of capacity and passenger volume increased about 2% from the prior year.
