Carnival shares climb after quarterly results and record 2027 bookings
The cruise company exceeded fiscal third-quarter expectations while outlining continued cost pressures and strong advance demand.

Carnival shares rose more than 11% after the company surpassed Wall Street expectations for its fiscal third quarter and reported record booking trends for 2027. The cruise operator posted adjusted earnings of $1.43 per share on revenue of $8.43 billion.
The results included a $131 million unfavorable effect from fuel prices and foreign exchange. Carnival also said cruise costs per available lower berth day increased 4.2%. Gross margin yield declined 1.3% from a year earlier, though booking volumes exceeded prior-year levels and continued to grow faster than capacity.
For fiscal 2026, Carnival expects adjusted EBITDA of $7.14 billion, adjusted net income of $3.1 billion and adjusted earnings of about $2.24 per share. Its fourth-quarter guidance calls for earnings of approximately $0.20 per share, below the cited consensus estimate of $0.24.
Looking further ahead, Carnival said full-year 2027 booked occupancy and pricing had already reached record levels, indicating strong advance demand.
