Carnival reports $1.9 billion quarterly profit and raises outlook

The cruise company said bookings, customer deposits and net yields strengthened despite pressure from fuel costs and currency movements.

Carnival Corporation reported third-quarter 2026 net income of $1.9 billion and adjusted net income of $2 billion. Adjusted EBITDA reached $3 billion, matching the prior year’s record and exceeding the company’s June guidance by $110 million.

The company said higher fuel prices and currency movements reduced quarterly results by $131 million. Constant-currency net yields increased 2.4% from a year earlier. Carnival also raised its full-year outlook, projecting an operational improvement of more than $150 million in adjusted net income compared with its June forecast, which it said would offset an estimated fuel-related impact of about $150 million.

Carnival reported record third-quarter customer deposits of $7.6 billion, up $500 million from the previous-year record. It said booked occupancy and pricing for full-year 2027 were at record levels, while both measures for 2028 were running ahead of the prior year.

The company also reported that Celebration Key welcomed nearly 2.5 million guests during its first year. RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay and Isla Tropicale each received more than 250,000 guests following recent enhancements.
