Carnival raises annual profit outlook as bookings strengthen
The cruise company reported quarterly revenue above analysts’ expectations and projected solid booking trends for 2027.

Carnival Corp increased its full-year profit forecast, citing strengthening demand and expectations for robust booking trends extending into 2027. The company’s shares gained nearly 12% in premarket trading following the update.
The cruise operator now anticipates adjusted earnings of approximately $2.24 per share for the year, compared with its previous projection of about $2.22 per share.
Quarterly revenue reached $8.44 billion, exceeding the $8.30 billion average estimate from analysts, according to data compiled by LSEG.
Chief Executive Josh Weinstein said booking volumes were significantly higher than a year earlier and were growing much faster than the company’s capacity.
Carnival typically does not hedge fuel, making it the only major U.S. cruise company with that general approach. The company has sought to offset elevated fuel expenses and increased investment by lifting ticket prices and generating more sales from pre-cruise extras.
