Carnival Radiance drops Cabo San Lucas call over storm outlook
The ship is returning directly to California and remains scheduled to arrive in Long Beach on October 11.

Carnival Cruise Line canceled Carnival Radiance’s planned visit to Cabo San Lucas on October 9, 2026, citing forecast storm trajectories that could produce rough sailing for the 2,984-guest ship.
The canceled call had been scheduled from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Rather than continue the voyage as originally planned, Carnival Radiance was set to head directly back to California. In a weather update issued on the evening of October 8, the cruise line said the ship was expected to return to Long Beach as scheduled on October 11.
Carnival Radiance departed Long Beach on October 3 and had already called at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and La Paz. At the time of the update, Carnival had not announced additional itinerary changes for Carnival Firenze or Carnival Panorama, the company’s two other ships sailing from Long Beach.
