Carnival Paradise hosts America250 event in Tampa
The Port Tampa Bay celebration brought together community representatives, veterans, business leaders and government officials.

Carnival Cruise Line hosted an America250 celebration aboard Carnival Paradise at Port Tampa Bay, marking the nation’s 250th anniversary with local community partners, veterans, business leaders and government officials.
During embarkation, a 40-foot-tall inflatable patriotic bald eagle was displayed on the ship’s top deck. The event also featured a military tribute recognizing active-duty service members, local veterans and first responders who attended. Each military member received a specially designed, limited-edition America250 challenge coin.
The Cat in the Hat also appeared aboard the ship in a patriotic outfit for the anniversary event.
The Tampa gathering is part of Carnival’s series of America250 events planned for the summer. Additional homeport community celebrations are scheduled in Long Beach, Baltimore and Jacksonville. Across the fleet, passengers will also be offered special onboard activities, while several Carnival ships are set to meet for fireworks displays on the Atlantic and Pacific coasts.
