Carnival Panorama guest reported overboard during voyage to Long Beach
Carnival Cruise Line said authorities were alerted after CCTV footage showed a missing male guest had gone overboard.

A male guest aboard Carnival Panorama jumped overboard while the ship was sailing from Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, to Long Beach, California, according to Carnival Cruise Line.
The company said crew members reviewed CCTV footage after being told that a guest was missing. Carnival then notified the U.S. Coast Guard and Mexico’s Coast Guard.
Passenger accounts and vessel-tracking data indicated that Carnival Panorama began turning around at approximately 2 p.m. Pacific Time to search nearby waters. The ship resumed its northbound voyage toward Long Beach at about 4:30 p.m.
Carnival said it was providing support to relatives who had been traveling with the guest. His identity had not been released as of Sept. 20, 2026.
Some passengers assembled a small memorial for the missing man aboard the ship. The display included handwritten notes, prayers, rubber ducks and teddy bears.
