Carnival outlines carry-on beverage limits for embarkation
Wine and champagne have a narrow exception, while permitted non-alcoholic drinks must be packed in cans or cartons.

Carnival Cruise Line’s published policy allows each guest age 21 or older to carry aboard one sealed or unopened 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne on embarkation day. The bottle must be placed in the guest’s carry-on luggage.
Carnival brand ambassador John Heald said other beverages in bottles cannot be brought aboard. He said drinks packaged in cans or cardboard containers may be permitted instead.
Guests may carry a limited quantity of non-alcoholic beverages in their carry-on luggage, according to the guidance. The allowance is capped at 12 cans or cartons of 354 ml each per person. Eligible drinks include sparkling water, soda, energy drinks, juice and milk.
Bottled water may be purchased before the cruise for delivery to a guest’s stateroom on embarkation day. Any unopened water remaining after the sailing may be taken home.
