Carnival organizes coastal cleanups across its fleet
Shipboard and shoreside team members joined community partners for 31 cleanup events during September.

Carnival Cruise Line organized a coastal cleanup initiative with shipboard and shoreside team members and community partners in recognition of International Coastal Cleanup Day on Sept. 19.
Carnival reported that 377 shipboard team members across 29 ships and 111 shoreside team members, along with local partners, participated in 31 beach and waterway cleanups during September. The company said participants collected approximately 175 bags containing more than 5,000 pounds of trash, waste and debris.
Carnival Glory was scheduled to complete the final cleanup on Sept. 30, bringing the initiative to participation across the entire fleet, according to the cruise line. Locations included Galveston, Port Canaveral and Miami, along with destinations in Alaska, the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Mexico, Greece, France and Australia.
The initiative was part of Carnival’s Our Sea Pledge sustainability program and was supported by local environmental organizations, port partners and community groups. Carnival said the program focuses on climate action, circular economy, sustainable tourism, biodiversity and conservation, and health, inclusion and belonging. The company also reported that its shipboard and shoreside cleanup efforts collected more than 7,200 pounds of debris in 2026.
