Carnival monitors Tropical Storm Isaias across 12 sailings
Six Carnival ships were under watch as the storm’s forecast track crossed Caribbean routes toward Gulf Coast homeports.

Carnival Cruise Line was monitoring Tropical Storm Isaias in connection with 12 current and upcoming sailings aboard six ships. The company sent letters to guests already onboard and text messages to travelers booked on affected departures.
The sailings under watch were Carnival Breeze’s October 5 and 10 departures and Carnival Dream’s October 3 and 10 voyages, both from Galveston; Carnival Jubilee’s October 3 and 11 Galveston sailings; Carnival Liberty’s October 4 and 11 departures and Carnival Valor’s October 3 and 8 voyages, both from New Orleans; and Carnival Paradise’s October 4 and 8 Tampa sailings.
Guests booked on Carnival Breeze’s October 10 cruise were told by text that plans had not changed at that point. In an October 7 letter to passengers on Carnival Dream’s October 3 voyage, Captain Zvonko Anic said the ship and Carnival’s Fleet Operations Center in Miami were monitoring the storm, with no adjustment to plans at the time.
The forecast track crossed major cruise routes linking the Eastern and Western Caribbean with Galveston and New Orleans. Ships operating in Gulf waters or from ports including Tampa, Mobile and New Orleans could also be affected. Cruise Ship Tracker listed Carnival Spirit, Margaritaville at Sea Islander, Radiance of the Seas, Enchantment of the Seas, Carnival Paradise and Celebrity Summit among vessels potentially exposed.
