Carnival introduces Rewards loyalty program and Mastercard
The program separates redeemable points from status, while adding lifetime sailing milestones and a co-branded credit card.

Carnival Cruise Line has rolled out Carnival Rewards, a loyalty program with separate tracks for rewards points and status. The program also includes milestones based on lifetime days sailed and a co-branded Mastercard.
Members earn three points per dollar spent on eligible Carnival purchases, including gratuities. They also receive one point for each casino point remaining at the end of a sailing. Rewards points become available about 14 days after the cruise concludes and may be redeemed for future bookings or onboard offerings such as shore excursions, specialty dining and spa services.
The status program has four tiers. Members receive Red status upon enrollment, while Gold requires 10,000 Status Qualifying Stars, Platinum requires 50,000 and Diamond requires 100,000. The first qualifying window is scheduled to run from Sept. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2028. Status earned during that window carries into a subsequent two-year enjoyment period.
New Carnival Rewards Mastercard holders can receive 50,000 points after spending $1,000 within their first 90 days. The card also offers a promotional 0% annual percentage rate for six months on Carnival cruise bookings. Cardholders who spend $2,000 during the applicable period receive a 2,500-point anniversary bonus.
