Carnival Freedom completes 35-day dry dock in France
The ship received a new funnel, an expanded casino and other updates ahead of its scheduled return to Port Canaveral.

Carnival Freedom has completed a 35-day dry dock in France that included changes to interior and exterior areas. Carnival Cruise Line said the work added a new whale tail funnel and the company’s new From Sea to Shining Sea crest on the bow.
The cruise line said the redesigned casino now has more than 100 additional gaming machines. The project also refreshed the ship’s arcade and retail spaces and included accessibility improvements.
Carnival Freedom will next operate an eight-day Mediterranean cruise from Barcelona, followed by a 13-day transatlantic voyage. The ship is scheduled to arrive at Port Canaveral on Oct. 30.
Carnival Freedom is set to remain based at Port Canaveral through May 2027. It is then scheduled to reposition to Norfolk, Virginia.
