Carnival Festivale floats out at Meyer Werft shipyard
Carnival Cruise Line’s fourth Excel-class ship is scheduled to begin Port Canaveral service in May 2027.

Carnival Cruise Line has marked the float-out of Carnival Festivale at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, signaling completion of the vessel’s structure. With all ship blocks in place, the vessel will now move into the outfitting phase.
The fourth ship in Carnival’s Excel class is scheduled to enter service on May 19, 2027, with a four-night Bahamas cruise from Port Canaveral. Carnival plans to operate subsequent voyages from the Florida port to The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
Carnival says the ship will introduce music-themed areas intended for guests across age groups. Sunsation Point will occupy Decks 16 through 18, while the vessel will also feature 1,000 interconnecting rooms, larger youth spaces and new programming for younger guests.
Announced dining venues include Emeril’s Coastal Seafood, Hawaiian- and Asian-inspired Uku Lei Lei, Mediterranean-focused Fetaccine and Le Bistro Musicale, a French restaurant planned exclusively for Carnival Festivale. New bar concepts will include live-performance lounge The Spark, customizable cocktail venue Mix, and Festival Grounds Coffee & Bar, which will serve specialty coffees and cocktails.
