Carnival expands coastal cleanup effort across its fleet
Shipboard and shoreside teams joined port partners and community groups for cleanup operations during September.

Carnival Cruise Line marked International Coastal Cleanup Day with beach and waterway cleanup activities across its network. Employees, port partners, environmental organizations and local community groups supported the effort.
During September, 377 shipboard team members from 29 vessels and 111 shoreside employees participated in 31 operations. Carnival said the activities collected about 175 bags of waste and debris from coastal and waterway areas.
The cleanups took place in the U.S. homeports of Galveston, Port Canaveral and Miami, as well as destinations in Alaska, the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Mexico, Greece, France and Australia.
Carnival Glory was scheduled to hold a cleanup that would bring the initiative to full fleet participation. According to the cruise line, shipboard and shoreside teams collected more than 7,200 pounds of debris through cleanup activities during 2026. The initiative formed part of Carnival’s Our Sea Pledge sustainability program.
