Carnival delays Galveston embarkation and adjusts Gulf itineraries
Hurricane Isaias’ impact prompted schedule changes for Carnival Dream, Carnival Liberty and Carnival Valor.

Carnival Cruise Line advised passengers booked on Carnival Dream’s October 10, 2026, departure from Galveston to reach the terminal two hours later than originally scheduled because the ship was arriving late. The company attributed the embarkation delay to Hurricane Isaias’ impact in the Gulf.
In a text message to passengers, Carnival said every guest needed to arrive for check-in by 4 p.m. Central Time to support an on-time departure.
The cruise line also adjusted itineraries for three ships sailing from Galveston and New Orleans. Carnival Liberty’s Cozumel visit shifted to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., one hour earlier than its previously planned 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. call.
Carnival said the October 8 Carnival Valor sailing from New Orleans sought calmer waters away from the hurricane. As a result, the ship’s Cozumel arrival moved from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., while departure was brought forward from 6 p.m. to 5 p.m.
In addition to Carnival Dream, the company was monitoring five other vessels in the Gulf: Carnival Breeze, Carnival Jubilee, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Valor and Carnival Paradise.
