Carnival Completes Celebration Key Pier Expansion
Two additional berths raise the Grand Bahama destination’s capacity to four ships and more than 13,000 guests in a day.

Carnival Corporation has completed a pier extension at Celebration Key on Grand Bahama Island. The expansion adds two berths, allowing the destination to accommodate as many as four ships simultaneously and receive more than 13,000 guests in a single day.
According to the project update, the work was finished ahead of schedule and is expected to support about 200 additional ship calls and 700,000 more guest arrivals annually. Celebration Key is projected to host approximately 3.5 million guests during its second year of operation.
The destination is scheduled to regularly manage three- and four-ship days beginning in September 2026. Princess Cruises and AIDA are expected to join the rotation later that year. Currently, 20 Carnival Cruise Line ships visit Celebration Key from 10 U.S. homeports.
A Tourism Economics study forecasts that the destination’s development, construction and continuing operations will create more than 2,500 direct jobs for Bahamians over the next 20 years. During the same period, the project is expected to generate $3.2 billion in incremental government revenue and contribute $9.7 billion in incremental gross domestic product impact.
