Carnival and Barclays launch no-annual-fee rewards card
The Mastercard offers points on eligible cruise, dining, grocery and everyday purchases, along with loyalty status credits.

Carnival Cruise Line and Barclays US Consumer Bank have introduced the Carnival Rewards Mastercard, a no-annual-fee card designed to provide rewards toward future Carnival cruises and progress within the cruise line’s recently launched loyalty program.
According to the companies, cardmembers can earn up to six points per dollar on eligible Carnival purchases when earnings from the card and Carnival Rewards are combined. The card also provides two points per dollar at eligible restaurants and grocery stores and one point per dollar on other purchases. Spending can additionally generate Status Qualifying Stars toward higher Carnival loyalty tiers.
New cardmembers may receive 50,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 during their first 90 days. Other benefits include real-time point redemptions on eligible Carnival purchases, the ability to use points for cruise upgrades and a 2,500-point anniversary bonus after meeting the applicable spending requirement. The card also offers six months of promotional 0% annual percentage rate financing on Carnival cruise booking purchases, subject to terms.
