Bookings open for Carnival Tropicale ahead of 2028 Texas debut
Carnival Cruise Line’s newest and final Excel-class ship is scheduled to begin sailing from Texas on April 15, 2028.

Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for Carnival Tropicale, with itineraries planned for four, five, six and eight days. The ship’s scheduled destinations include Celebration Key, RelaxAway, Half Moon Cay, Isla Tropicale and Puerta Maya, along with Caribbean ports such as Progreso and Nassau.
Among the ship’s planned features is Sunsation Point, a multi-deck family entertainment area intended for daytime and evening use. Carnival says the zone will include Carnival WaterWorks Ultra, featuring six waterslides and splash areas for younger cruisers. Named slides include SunSoaker, Turning Tides and Racing Currents.
Carnival also plans several dining concepts aboard the ship. Uku Lei Lei will serve Hawaiian-inspired food with Asian influences, while Fetaccine will combine Greek and Italian flavors. Emeril’s Coastal Seafood, developed in partnership with Carnival Chief Culinary Officer Emeril Lagasse, will offer seafood dishes inspired by coastlines across the United States.
