Azamara Journey Begins 30-Night Path of the Vikings Voyage
The Copenhagen-to-Montreal sailing precedes cruises in Canada, Greenland and Iceland, followed by seasonal deployments in the Americas and Europe.
Azamara Journey departed Copenhagen in late July to begin Azamara’s 30-night Path of the Vikings combination cruise between Denmark and Canada. The itinerary included Scandinavian ports such as Oslo and Kristiansand, followed by calls in the Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland.
The 718-passenger ship’s schedule included four Icelandic destinations, among them Reykjavik and Isafjord, and the Greenland ports of Nanortalik, Paamiut and Nuuk. Canadian calls were also planned before the voyage’s scheduled conclusion in Montreal in late August.
Afterward, Azamara Journey is scheduled to operate a series of 16-night voyages between Montreal and Reykjavik, visiting destinations in Canada, Greenland and Iceland. Planned calls include Havre-Saint-Pierre, Qaqortoq and Grundarfjordur.
In late September, the ship is due to begin a fall foliage season featuring open-jaw cruises between Montreal and New York. A Caribbean repositioning is scheduled to follow before a South America winter season in early 2027.
The schedule includes a 74-night roundtrip Miami itinerary with port calls in the Caribbean, Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Peru and Panama. Scenic cruising is also planned at Paradise Bay and the Antarctic Peninsula. Azamara Journey is then scheduled to reposition to Europe in late March for a summer season in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
