Aroya Nears End of Second Mediterranean Season

The 3,500-passenger ship’s seven-night program featured calls in Turkey, Greece and Egypt, along with its first interporting operation.

Aroya returned to Istanbul in early June for a series of seven-night cruises to destinations in Turkey, Greece and Egypt. The 3,500-passenger vessel was nearing the end of its Mediterranean deployment, which was set to be followed by a charter operation in Italy.

Commercial Executive Director Ala Tashkandi characterized Aroya’s second Mediterranean season as a success. The deployment also introduced the ship’s first interporting operations, allowing passengers on selected sailings to begin their cruises in Alexandria, Egypt.

Hotel Director Marco de Oliveira said Aroya adjusted its Mediterranean offering by adding more languages to onboard programming, tailoring entertainment and making other changes. The ship retained its halal food and beverage operations during the season, with alcoholic drinks prohibited onboard.

Restaurant & Bar Operations Manager Dino Imamovic said Aroya offered 12 food venues.
