andBeyond Plans 32-Guest Amazon Explorer for Peruvian River Cruises
The yacht-inspired vessel will offer seasonal itineraries ranging from three to seven nights.

andBeyond plans to introduce andBeyond Amazon Explorer, a yacht-inspired cruise ship designed for journeys along the Peruvian Amazon. According to the company, the 242-foot (74-meter) vessel will carry up to 32 guests in 15 suites featuring floor-to-ceiling windows.
Built by SIMA shipyard, Amazon Explorer will be powered by two 600-horsepower Caterpillar engines and have a stated speed of 12 knots. Planned amenities include two pools, a sundeck and the Amazon-themed Pisco Bar, along with a spa and gym. An Explorer Center will host presentations by experts and naturalists and support planning for personalized river activities, while a separate media room will offer documentaries and classic films.
The operator is offering distinct programs for the Amazon’s low-water and high-water seasons. Each itinerary will be available as a three-, four- or seven-night cruise. The report said the ship’s maiden voyage was scheduled for December of its publication year.
