American Ranger begins inaugural Hudson River season
American Cruise Lines’ new vessel will sail fall voyages from New York before moving to the Chesapeake region and Florida.

American Cruise Lines’ American Ranger departed New York on September 22 for its inaugural eight-night voyage on the Hudson River. The itinerary includes calls at Sleepy Hollow, West Point, Hyde Park, Kingston and Catskill, as well as the Albany area.
The cruise line plans to repeat the fall itinerary through early November, with departures scheduled across the autumn season in the Hudson Valley. American Ranger was built at Chesapeake Shipbuilding in Salisbury, Maryland.
Following its New York season, the vessel is scheduled to operate cruises in the Chesapeake Bay and on the Potomac River. It will then reposition to Florida for a winter program departing from St. Petersburg.
American Cruise Lines also plans to send American Ranger west in 2027. The ship is scheduled to offer voyages in Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands before starting an Alaska program operating between Juneau and Ketchikan.
