American Encore Begins Columbia and Snake River Sailings
American Cruise Lines’ newest riverboat combines extended port calls with multiple lounges and a stern walking circuit.

American Cruise Lines’ American Encore debuted in May and has begun sailing the Columbia and Snake rivers. Its route runs from Portland, Oregon, to Clarkston, Washington.
A Premium Balcony stateroom reviewed aboard the riverboat measured 300 square feet. Elsewhere, the wood-paneled River Lounge serves as a venue for lectures, daily briefings and musical performances.
American Encore also has five other lounges, game rooms and studies in varying sizes, including one study equipped with two internet stations. Additional onboard facilities include a fitness center and a guest laundry with a minibar.
The Columbia & Snake Rivers Cruise itinerary features longer stays in port, including frequent overnight calls, allowing passengers more time for independent exploration, tastings and shore excursions.
On the Sun Deck, the Sky Walk provides a pedestrian circuit around a partially cantilevered oval path extending over the ship’s stern.
