American Cruise Lines christens American Ranger on Hudson River
The 130-guest vessel is the fourth ship in the company’s Patriot Class and its third new launch this year.

American Cruise Lines christened American Ranger on September 24 at Historic Catskill Point in Catskill, New York. The ceremony was held on the Hudson River during the ship’s inaugural sailing.
Susan Renner, American Cruise Lines’ treasurer and board chair, served as godmother and performed the christening honors. American Ranger is the company’s third new ship launched this year and the fourth vessel in its Patriot Class.
The four-deck ship accommodates 130 guests in private-balcony staterooms, including single accommodations and suites. Its amenities include lounges, a walking track, chart room, restaurant, casual café, fitness center and laundry room.
The christening occurred during American Ranger’s inaugural nine-day Hudson River Fall Foliage itinerary, which began with a hotel stay in New York City and concluded in Albany.
American Cruise Lines plans to introduce American Mariner, American Navigator and American Anthem next year. In 2027, the company’s Hudson River cruises are scheduled to operate round trip from Albany and include a New York City stop and excursions.
