Ambassador Cruise Line to acquire Sirena for new German brand
The approximately 670-passenger ship is scheduled to become Ambella in 2028 and serve Germany’s cruise market.

Ambassador Cruise Line has agreed to acquire Sirena from Oceania Cruises, with plans to deploy the vessel under a new brand focused on German travelers.
From 2028, the approximately 670-passenger ship is expected to be renamed Ambella and sail for Ambassador Kreuzfahrten. Operating from Kiel and Bremerhaven, the adults-only ship is planned to offer a German-language cruise experience designed specifically for customers in Germany.
The expansion follows Ambassador’s 2025 merger with French cruise operator CFC. The French operation was rebranded as Ambassador Croisières in September 2026 while retaining a French onboard experience tailored to French passengers, rather than adopting a standardized product across the company’s European businesses.
The planned launch of Ambassador Kreuzfahrten similarly centers on a market-specific onboard offering, extending Ambassador’s localized brand approach to Germany.
