Ambassador announces 2027 solar eclipse cruise from Dundee
The 19-night Ambition voyage is scheduled to remain in Gibraltar for the total solar eclipse on August 2nd, 2027.
Ambassador Cruise Line has announced a Mediterranean Moments & Solar Eclipse voyage aboard Ambition. The adults-only ship is scheduled to depart Dundee on July 27th, 2027, for 19 nights and return on August 15th.
Ambition is due to remain in Gibraltar during the eclipse on August 2nd, 2027. Totality is expected at approximately 10:45 a.m. and is forecast to last about four and a half minutes.
After Gibraltar, the ship is scheduled to call at Almeria, Alicante, Valencia, Ibiza and Cádiz. The return passage includes Vigo, providing access to Santiago de Compostela, before Ambition reaches Dundee.
The eclipse programme will be included in Ambition’s enrichment and entertainment offering. Scheduled activities include live performances, guest speakers, music and social events across venues including the Palladium Show Lounge and The Cavern.
Saver Fares start at GBP 2,969 per person for a shared inside cabin. Ambassador Fares begin at GBP 3,775 per person and include the top Expedition Drinks Package. Both prices are based on two passengers sharing.
