AmaWaterways previews AmaMaya ahead of 2027 Mekong debut
The 120-passenger river ship will offer two seven-night itineraries, two restaurants and several wellness amenities.

AmaWaterways has unveiled AmaMaya, its newest Mekong River cruise ship, ahead of a scheduled January 2027 debut. The vessel will accommodate 120 passengers across 60 staterooms.
AmaMaya will operate the line’s seven-night Charms of the Mekong and Riches of the Mekong itineraries. Included experiences will range from walks through traditional villages and visits to local schools to stops at silk-making and rattan workshops and local markets.
Dining options will include the Mekong Restaurant and The Chef’s Table, a specialty venue serving a multi-course tasting menu. According to AmaWaterways, menus will focus on Southeast Asian flavors and fresh ingredients while accommodating vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other dietary requirements.
Other onboard facilities will include a fitness room, a pool on the sun deck and three massage rooms. A dedicated Wellness Host will lead fitness and mindfulness activities during each cruise.
Passengers booking Charms of the Mekong may add a three-night stay in Bangkok. Those sailing Riches of the Mekong can select either a three-night Bangkok extension or a four-night extension in Central Vietnam.
