AmaWaterways adds Peru extension to Colombia river itinerary
The five-night program, available on selected departures from April 2027, includes Machu Picchu travel and two accommodation tiers.

AmaWaterways has launched its first Peru journey as a five-night land extension to its Magic of Colombia itinerary. The program features a rail trip to Machu Picchu, with the train and hotels determined by the selected package.
The Boutique package starts at $5,245 per person. It includes stays at the Westin Lima Hotel & Convention Center; Tambo del Inka, A Luxury Collection Resort & Spa; and Palacio del Inka, A Luxury Collection Hotel. Guests travel to Machu Picchu aboard first-class Inca Rail.
Starting at $8,545 per person, the Iconic package includes Miraflores Park, A Belmond Hotel, in Lima and Monasterio, A Belmond Hotel, in Cusco. The package also provides a ticket aboard the Hiram Bingham, A Belmond Train, for the Machu Picchu journey.
The extension is available to book through AmaWaterways on selected departures beginning in April 2027. From 2028, it will be offered with every Magic of Colombia itinerary. That seven-night cruise sails from Barranquilla to Cartagena aboard AmaMelodia or AmaMagdalena, two vessels built for Colombia’s Magdalena River.
