AIDAnova rescues four fishermen in Skagerrak
AIDA Cruises said the fishermen were brought aboard unharmed from a life raft during the ship’s Norway voyage.

AIDAnova rescued four fishermen in distress in the Skagerrak strait between Norway and Denmark on Oct. 18, according to AIDA Cruises.
The cruise line said the ship sailed to the fishermen’s reported position, where crew members safely brought all four aboard from a life raft. AIDA said the fishermen were unharmed and underwent routine medical examinations in the ship’s hospital before being cared for on board.
The fishermen continued aboard AIDAnova to Bergen, where the vessel arrived as scheduled on Monday, the company said. AIDA did not provide further details about the circumstances that prompted the rescue.
Ship-tracking information indicated that AIDAnova had departed Kiel, Germany, on Oct. 17 for a cruise to Norway.
