AE Expeditions adds Antarctic skiing to expedition sailings
The optional activity, available from November, is designed for advanced skiers and snowboarders with off-piste experience.

AE Expeditions is offering passengers the opportunity to ski or snowboard in Antarctica during selected expedition sailings. The activity will be available from November and will be led by qualified mountain guides.
When conditions allow, participants may take part in as many as two ski outings per day during shore landings, with the company indicating that six or more outings could be possible over a voyage. Guests must have advanced skiing or snowboarding ability, off-piste experience and a high level of fitness. They are also required to bring their own ski equipment.
The ski and snowboard tour costs an additional £1,022 per person. Prices for AE Expeditions’ 12-night Across the Antarctic Circle cruise, including a one-night stay before departure, start at £14,898. The Antarctic voyages operate between November and February, departing from Ushuaia, Argentina, aboard Sylvia Earle and Greg Mortimer.
