Adventure of the Seas Returns to Curaçao After Departure

Adventure of the Seas reversed course and returned to Curaçao roughly 30 minutes after departing the island during an eight-night Caribbean cruise, according to a report of the incident.
Footage recorded after the ship’s return showed an ambulance arriving alongside the Royal Caribbean vessel. One commenter said the captain had attributed the unscheduled return to a medical emergency, but that account has not been officially confirmed.
The precise circumstances remained undisclosed, and Royal Caribbean was contacted for comment. Cruise lines generally do not release private details about medical situations involving individual passengers or crew members.
The same sailing also experienced a power outage on September 5, shortly after leaving Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay. The disruption reportedly lasted about 30 minutes, leaving staterooms without lighting and trapping some passengers in elevators until power was restored.
